A Message From Perry:
PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID, ~BUT~THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL. I don't think that I have done
anything more important in my life than to give the families fighting
catastrophic illness an escape from the medical day to day drama they are
faced with by treating them to a day of fishing. While we are together
on the water they seem to go to another place where their medical
problems if even for just a short time leave them so that they can enjoy
the great outdoors and they take in every second to the fullest. It was
recently brought to my attention while on the water with a 48 year old
Fire Chief who is battling terminal brain cancer that while he was on
the water and when he caught his first fish, he felt like a child again.
So this experience not only helps the smallest of children, it also has
a huge impact on the biggest of kids. I have been doing these trips for
the USSA now for about 4 years and I hope to continue for many more. |
